The long running French Art Magazine "Derriere le Miroir" was published from 1946 until 1982 (253 issues). Established and edited by Aime Maeght, the French art dealer featured artists exhibited in his gallery, including: Georges Braque, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, and Vassily Kandinsky.

About the artist:

Pierre Tal-Coat (French, 1905–1985) is considered one of the founders of Tachisme. In 1963, he collaborated with Joan Miró and Ubac in creation of the Maeght Foundation. In 1968, he received the Grand Prix National de Arts. He also exhibited in a large retrospective devoted to his work at the Grand Palais in Paris in 1976.
