"Redtail Filefish" French Sketch Study Circa 1970 (SOLD)

"Redtail Filefish". The fish are drawn in the style of a scientific reference journal study (Ichthyology). Across the top edge of the piece, the artist wrote the date in which it was made and the scientific naming of the fish. The bottom fish was drawn a few weeks later, showing the aritst went back for a second try at drawing this specimen.

The piece measures 8.375" W x 10.125" H. The piece is in very good condition!
