The long-running French Art Magazine "Derrière le Miroir," published and edited by French art dealer Aime Maeght, ran from 1946 until 1982 for a total of 253 issues. In Derrière le Miroir, Maeght featured artists exhibited in his gallery, which included artists such as Georges Braque, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, and Vassily Kandinsky.
About Andre Derain:
Born in Chatou, France in 1880, André Derain was a French painter, sculptor, theatrical designer, and print-maker who had a major role in the development of two of the most significant artistic movements of the early 20th century; Fauvism and Cubism.
