Artist Spotlight: Brooke Olivares & Matteo Caloiaro

It was about a decade ago when we were introduced to the artist couple Brooke and Matteo through a mutual friend of Alex Marin. Upon learning of their backgrounds (the two met at the Ringling College of Art & Design and were both teachers there) Brooke and Matteo were brought into Soicher-Marin to work as contract studio artists to produce works of art which would be reproduced and designed to go into SM's line. What we absolutely love about Brooke and Matteo is there ability to adapt. Soicher-Marin would ask them to paint something specific (maybe something different than their preferred style) and they would nail the subject matter. Their work has really blossomed over the years. Like other professional practitioners, they are always developing their techniques and constantly learning. Being as close as we are to the couple, we have seen them grow as artists by leaps and bounds. We are very lucky to have such talented people in our lives and we are honored to share Brooke and Matteo's work with you today.
