About the piece:
This original watercolor painting depicts a subtle view of Montmartre; a large hill in the northern sector of Paris’ 18th arrondissement primarily known for its artistic history. The white domes on the summit of Montmartre (as seen in the background of this painting) are part of the Basilica of Sacré Coeur, which has maintained a perpetual adoration of the Holy Eucharist since 1885. It is the second most toured destination in Paris aside from the Eiffel Tower.
This piece is one from a series of paintings in our “Tour of Paris” collection, which takes the viewer on an artistic stroll through the city of love.
