This lot of 8 copper plate engravings of different primates. Two different engravers are represented here. Four by Warner and the other four by A Bell. The primates represented are a Purple-faced Monkey, Alouate, Coaita, Small Baboon, Pigmy, Maimon, Prominent White-Nose Monkey, and a Sai/Weeper.
The condition of this lot is good. Due to the age of the pieces (over 200 years old) the paper is delicate. Toning and foxing in all pieces, but the patina is on par with pieces this old. Please see images for current condition.
