About the piece:
This original watercolor painting depicts an uninterrupted view of the Arc De Triumphe, which honors those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. The landmark stands 164 feet high and 148 feet wide. The names of all the French victories and their generals are inscribed on the inner and outer surfaces of the monument.
Being one of the most toured locations of Paris, it is rare to see the Arc De Triumphe without any visitors. Embree creates a personalized experience with the Arc by allowing the viewer to experience the beauty of the landmark one-on-one. With the subtle sunset on the horizon and a glimpse of the French flag, this painting depicts a memory that is worth treasuring.
