This lithograph comes from the long running French Art Magazine "Derriere le Miroir" published from 1946 until 1982 (253 issues). Published and edited by Aime Maeght, the French art dealer featured artists exhibited in his gallery, including: Joan Miro, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, and Vassily Kandinsky.

Alexander Calder was an American sculptor who was best known for his innovative mobiles. He was a significant figure by changing the course of modern art by developing an innovative method of sculpting, bending, and twisting wire to create three-dimensional "drawings in space". He was an early adopter of non-objective painting style.

Text is on the reverse side, as published.
